PAST IMPROVEMENTS

Paved Roads

Neighbors United Chats

Neighborhood Watch

Between 2004 and 2006 PBHA organized neighbors, Government, and Windward roads to pave our neighborhood. Until then roads were sand and quite bumpy after a rain.  PBHA members paid approximately $250,000 for the concrete and asphalt and Windward Roads provide the engineering and labor.

In 2019 neighbors united to stop night time crime by cooperating with the International Airport and Government to be authorized to construct a security hut at the entry to the neighborhood.  Crime immediately dropped almost entirely. A few years later the police were linked into the neighborhood  surveillance network. In 2026 the homeowners decided to stop staffing the security guard at the entrance to Beacon Hill.

Evacuation Route Clearing and solution

Evacuation Route Clearing and solution

When our only access road is blocked with sand from high sea surge year round and blocked by tourists during high season. VROMI responds with a bulldozer to relocate the sand back to the beach allowing vehicles to enter and exit Beacon Hill.  A solution to all is install a seawall and boardwalk. PBHA is gathering design specifications from the various parties involved from Airport to Police and is leading this effort to have a reliable evacuation route and daily access and egress to our homes.
